Attendance
In the contact hours a minimum attendance of 80% is required to pass the course.
Attendance to all presentations is mandatory for all BA-finals candidates.
Progress Session presentations are open to all BA IAD students.
BA Finals are open to ZHdK audience and friends. (depends on the current Covid-19 situation) -
Grading
The BA thesis is composed of two aspects:
- the BA practice project, with a process, outcome and findings presented and exhibited counts for 22 ECTS points.
- 50% Project
- 25% Final Presentation
- 25% Mediation via exhibition
- the BA written work and final deliverables counts for 6 ECTS points
- 80% Written Part
- 20% Colloquium
Any delay in the milestones deliveries or final delivery will affect the final grade.

Deliverables
In addition to the Final Deliverables, we expect you to deliver Milestones during the process. Everything has to be delivered on the IAD Server, if not stated otherwise.

For the chapter deliveries, the individual chapters are completely written as of the current status, but more content and changes may be added during the process.Milestone Deliverables:

- Chapter Conclusion (full thesis including updates and rewrites, not designed)

- Teaser Image & Abstract for Diploma Publication, incl. 5-10 images >> Speak with your Mentors about that, they will guide you through that Process
- Full BA Thesis text and documents (including updates and rewrites, with final reflection on practice)
- 2x Hard Copies, IAD office room 4C.01
- Digital Copy
Final Deliverables: (similar to any previous module):
- Text
- Project Title, max. 100 characters
- Short Description, min. 250 – max. 400 characters
- Project Description, min. 1000 characters
- Contributors, full names of students and mentors
- Images
- min. 10 high-res images showing different aspects of your work/prototype
- min. 10 high-res images showing your process
- Video
- include official IAD intro and closing credits
- Prototype (if existing, f.e. Figma files, code, etc.)
- PDF Documentation
- = Full BA Thesis text and documents (its a milestone delivery, copy-paste it to the final deliverables)

Expenses
Please be aware that your expenses can only be refunded if you submit the complete documents no later than 4 weeks after the end of the module. Regarding this module, 500 CHF per student will be reimbursed. Included in this budget is also the the IMac/IPad renting fees (250.-/150.-) during the exhibition, as well as the Thesis printing fee. The reimbursement happens only after controlling the Final Deliverables.
