Dear fourth Semester,

Next week we will meet for the Service Design Course.
Throughout six weeks, you will design an experience that spans across several digital and physical touchpoints. This year's collaboration partner is Sennheiser Switzerland. Together with Sennheiser, we will develop solutions for distance and blended learning. Our contact at Sennheiser is Iwan Haenggi (Global Product Design Manager). As remote learning is also a hot topic at the ZHdK, we got Renato Soldenhoff, our head of e-learning, involved.

So distance learning will not only be the mode in which the course is held but also it's topic.

The Service Design module will build on a lot of the methodological, technical, and design skills you have acquired in the past two years. There is a rather large team of lecturers that will support you throughout the course.
Jürgen and I will be your main lecturers, supporting throughout all phases of the course. Stefano will give you methodological guidance in the service evaluation and ideation phase. Nicole will support you in terms of concept, storytelling, and video.

Due to the circumstances, you will have a slightly different learning experience this year. We will heavily rely on our eLearning platform Paul, our conferencing tool Zoom and as our online collaboration tool, we will use Figma.

On Monday the 27th, Dr. Bernd Eichinger of the FHNW will present their project "Learning Hubs". I highly recommend this event as research into the field of eLearning. Please register to this event under https://zhdk.typeform.com/to/BuoneJ

We will start our course kickoff on Tuesday at 8.30 via zoom.
Under Course Setting, you'll find information on how to prepare, our collaboration partner, the lecturers, and the teams you will be working in. If you have questions regarding the course, feel free to use the answer function in the "reply" function in the Paul forum.

We are looking forward to seeing you next week,
Florian, Jürgen, Nicole, Stefano, Renato & Iwan.
