After a round of individual introductions Dominique presented the point and leading the discussion.
1. Teaching Platform (Paul):
- Tool for exchange: Each student should familiarize themselves with our shared online platform, Paul. Instructions on how to engage with it can be found here.
- Task: Students should open their own folder on Paul and add items they would like to do during the trip, along with individual references or anything relevant to share with the group.
2. Course Expectations:
- Initiative: Dominique emphasized the importance of students taking responsibility and initiative in expressing their interests and preferences for the trip. The approach should be student-driven and flexible.
- Interests:
- Reetika expressed interest in spending a whole day with the nuns. Dominique will check if this is possible.
- Claas is enthusiastic about doing something site-specific.
3. Course Structure:
- Daily MCs: Dominique suggested assigning one or two students as "MCs" for a day. These individuals will manage the day’s structure, including departure times.
- Cooking Arrangements: A system for cooking will be established. Options include rotating responsibility each day or forming teams to organize meals differently.
- Next Meeting: Further allocation of tasks will be decided in the next meeting, scheduled for September (exact date TBD).
- Social Event: A fondue gathering is planned on Dominique's rooftop terrace in October to help everyone get to know each other.
4. Varia:
- Cost Division: Carlo inquired about cost distribution. This information is available both in the course catalog and on Paul.
