Traditional Brainwriting
Classic brainwriting is nothing more than silent brainstorming. We have the same setting as in brainstorming. Everyone in the team takes 15 minutes and writes down all the ideas. Then it goes into brainstorming session. As a basis for brainstorming we use only the most promising ideas from brainwriting. At the end of a brainstorming session, ideas that have not been refined are briefly presented to the team and added to the pool of potential. The brainwriting can also be used after a brainstorming round to continue spinning ideas on your own.

Brainstorming

This method is done standing and with everyone in the team. Why standing? Sitting means: our brain gets input. Stand against it: our brain must deliver. You will also need your «How Might We» questions and your Personas. Both are positioned within sight of each other. Position your Personas in sight and the «How Might We» questions in the center of your board. All post-its are positioned around the questions.

The following rules are to be observed for brainstorming:
  • No criticism! No „no“, no „yes, but…“
  • Develop many ideas
  • Build on the ideas of others
  • Anything goes
  • Visualize every idea
After brainstorming session cluster the ideas.

Mood Board

Elevator Pitch
In a very short time, explain your design/idea and in what it stands out positively. The name «Elevator pitch» comes from the time frame, where the pitch should take no longer as an average elevator ride.
